On The Gondola

So I get this idea that I need to take the girls to the top of Crystal Mountain, which is where I used to ski as a girl (and now ski as a semi-crazed adult).  Last year, Crystal installed a gondola to the top of the mountain and they have it open for the summer.  At the top are the most amazing views of Mt. Rainier.

Sage has been on a tram, at Squaw Valley, years ago.  Years ago...and Annie, who barely got into a drift boat...so the strategy was to run, excited, into the gondola.  Worked for Annie, although she got nervous, but Sage.  She dug in.  A guy finally helped, shoving her in and for much of the ride she laid down on the floor, pretty darn mad at me....but, it all worked out and boy, did we have a fantastic day...details to follow.

Life is an adventure.  And these girls?  Well, their lives, either or both of them, could have been just fine on some plantation on the eastern shore of Maryland.  But they ended up with me and if it's a gondola ride on a hot summer day and a 4 mile hike to the base....

Murphy's Day.
