This has been one tough 12 months. Yesterday I learned a good friend, a fly fishing mentor, Dave Lewis, died after a heroic battle with cancer.
Another member of the tribe gone.

I'm sorry you lost another friend...this year I lost my newly acclaimed fishing buddy to Cancer notably Ken Cannon, my best friend Shadow, my dog who died in my arms at 12 years of age and now I find out that my son pawned the Bamboo Fly Rod I made and gave him...
I fish a lot and generally alone these days but I carry them along with me and I find myself talking to Ken and Shadow out loud just like they were with me...
