Adventure Dogs

There is something about being outside with a lab.  They love the adventure (except if there is a lightening storm).  Running up trails, exploring a river, trying to mooch in on the picnic lunch...being around the labs while hiking, fishing, exploring reminds me to slow down, look at the whole...

Summertime

It's now officially summer.  And we've got lots of plans to get outside and enjoy!  Find some high country lakes, fish, bike ride, enjoy.

It's been a long past six months, so it's good to know the lazy days of summer are ahead.

The Real Office Manager

The real office manager is Sage.

She protects the outgoing mail and makes sure I produce.

It all leads to food and chewies, in her mind.

Complicated

Sage and Willa have a complicated relationship.  In the end, it's really about Willa wanting to be the top dog, just like Sage.  She realizes that won't happen any time soon, but it doesn't stop her from trying.

In Seattle for the Weekend

It's rare, but we stayed in Seattle.  Got some things done around the house.  The girls were clearly bored....

We Love Summer

As most Northwesterners will tell you, summer doesn't get rolling until July.

But so far, it's been nice.  And we love summer.

Sometimes, the girls remind me, I just have to be "there." For each other.

Paradise

A friend who owns a restaurant in Wenatchee calls this neck of the woods Paradise. And it certainly is.  The girls love going over there.  They romp, lay in the sun, and romp some more.  This past weekend we went for a long hike along a gorgeous river, ate good food, and laughed.  The dogs are happy.

It will be a little while before we go back, but can not wait.

Long Weekend

It was a long weekend.  Beginning with Seattle traffic on Friday afternoon and lots of work stuff over the weekend.

But we managed to have a great time and to remember that we're happy to have dogs and people who care and love us.
